FOOD FEST!!!!

And so....there are a lot of things that make me smile really really hard...one is FOOD! Today, for our Homecoming Week, we did Food Fest, which is when many organizations have a booth in the Student Center and sell some type of food. Hispanic Student Association did Corn in a Cup, and Fashion Merchandising Association did Alfredo! (though I was only able to help out with one) I laced up my lumberjack plaid high top chucks for this one, to match my homecoming t-shirt. And YES, I was wearing an apron. ;o) (Top picture by Greg O....gotta give credit when its due)

Laced Up My Low Tops for some FUN!

Last night, I went BOWLING w/ my sister and her friends, in celebration of her sorority sister's birthday. She's a pretty good friend of mine too, so I decided to throw on my mismatched socks and tag along. She's the one next to the cake. I threw in a glow in the dark pic for you guys too. ALSO, I decided to feature my sister in my dirty chucks blog. She has THE coolest Chuck Taylor's, The Doors editions....oh and check out our lil "photoshoot" lol.

Trip to the Art Studio

So after the car wash, one of the girls from the organization invited me to tag along with her to an Art Studio! She needed to take some photos for our university's newspaper. This was a special day, 4 artists decided to have a free art day where anyone, but preferably children, could come in and make their own artwork and they would feature it on the walls! I wish I could have gotten to make something, but there were only 20 minutes left when I got there. So, I took some pictures instead. I should have dripped some paint on my chucks huh? Check out the cutie on the last pic. He was working really hard on that black and yellow painting. Doing a great job too!

Dirty Chucks for a Cause

Yesterday one of my organizations hosted a car wash to raise money for Relay For Life! Relay for Life is a program sponsored by the American Cancer Society where people all over America host fundraisers for Cancer Research. Different organizations sign up as a team then raise money. Then on one night, all of the teams in the area, or at the school they signed up under come together to report how much they raised, in a fun filled all night walk. Teams can continue to raise money at the event by selling food, or having game booths. Here are the pics from the car wash! (P.S. these are my High Top Chucks)
